Farmers Market Cooking Demonstrations Program

sponsored by Whole Foods

Throughout the 2010 season, we will demonstrate healthy cooking techniques at both the Glover Park-Burleith and the Penn Quarter farmers' markets in Washington, DC.

Farmers' market demonstrations utilize market produce during the cooking process. We offer samples of the items prepared that day, provide tips for utilizing market produce at home and hand-out recipes.

Become A Sponsor of HL's Area Farmers Markets Cooking Demonstrations Programs

By contributing to this program, you are helping us reach a wide audience. In addition, each market features area local growers, and by supporting HL, you are also helping promote locally and organically grown produce.

Each demonstration at farmers’ markets costs Healthy Living Inc. between $75 and $150 depending on the size of the market and length of demonstration. This includes food and administrative costs, including the instructor’s fee.

Your name will be mentioned to the program’s participants and you will be listed on the Healthy Living website as an official sponsor of that day’s program, unless you prefer to remain anonymous. You are also invited to attend all of our fundraising events.

In May 2010, The HL at Area Farmers’ Market will enter its fourth year. Help us make this next season a success!
